Most of us go through the day not worrying about our next meal. We get hungry and head to our refrigerator, to a local fast-food place or to our favorite restaurant. For many families in Cobb and Paulding Counties, this isn’t the case. They are food insecure, meaning they don’t always know where they will find their next meal. Food insecurity impacts seniors, children and working families. Feeding America releases an annual report addressing food insecurity. Per the last report (data from 2022), 10.1% of the residents of Cobb County face food insecurity and as do 9.9% in Paulding County. Inflation adds to the strain with lower-income families using a higher proportion of their overall income on necessities like food.
To help meet this need, Keystone Baptist Church hosts our annual “Feed the Hungry" event. Feed The Hungry brings together more than 300 volunteers from throughout the local community to package 60,000 meals of Mac and Cheese. These meals are distributed to 7 different local food banks. These food banks provide (free of charge) critical food resources for those families facing food insecurity.

By giving a donation of any amount you help to pay for the food being used in these meals. (The cost of the food for the event is approximately $23,700). Every $10 donated will provide 28 meals.

- Feed a Friend: $1 - $249
- Feed a Family: $250 - $999
- Feed a Neighborhood: $1000 and up
