Terry Nelson - Lead Pastor
As both Founding Pastor and Lead Pastor of Keystone, Pastor Terry has more than 40 years of leadership experience in the local church. As a graduate of Mercer University and having earned two Master's degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he believes in proper interpretation of Scripture in its original languages (Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic), cultural context, and how it applies to the modern world. In addition to leading the church and preaching on Sunday mornings, he also leads a 9:30 AM Connect Group, which allows for a more intimate and deep discussion of Scripture in light of modern events. Pastor Terry and his wife, Laurie, are the proud parents of their adult children, Stephen & Meredith. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time out on the lake, is an avid golfer, and stays active in his local gym.
Jared Jones - Executive Pastor
As Executive Pastor, Pastor Jared oversees the operations of all ministries within the church. Currently a Liberty University student, Pastor Jared has over 20 years of leadership experience in church operations. Pastor Jared also leads the Young Adults Connect Group. He and his wife, Jamie, are the proud parents of three daughters: Berkleigh, Jocelyn, and Madison. He enjoys supporting his daughters' numerous extra-curricular activities, traveling with Jamie, and rooting for our hometown champions, the Atlanta Braves.
Tiffany McQueen - Administrator
Tiffany is the administrator for Keystone. A Georgia Tech graduate, she has 18 years of experience leading in the local church, having led previously both the children's and preschool ministries. Tiffany and her husband Eric have two children, Brody and Brooke, along with a dog named Riggs. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, jogging, going to the beach, and supporting her children's sports.
Rebecca Rakestraw - Next Generation Minister
Rebecca is the Next Generation Minister for Keystone and works with children from birth through high school. A Smyrna native and graduate of both Georgia Southern and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Rebecca has over 30 years of experiencing leading children, students, adult singles, and recreational ministries alongside 20 years of leadership for the the Georgia Baptist Mission Board as a VBS Conference Leader. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with family and friends, going to the lake and St. Simon's Island, Braves games, and long walks with her King Charles Cavalier dog, Henry.
Jacob McCrary - Student Ministry Intern
Jacob is serving as the Student Ministry Intern here at Keystone Baptist Church. He is a Cartersville native and will be graduating from Berry College May 2025. Jacob has always had a heart for Students and exemplifying obedience to the Word of God. Jacob has experience in ministry through serving with FUGE Camps and leadership roles in a local church. In his free time, Jacob enjoys watching Georgia football and Braves baseball with his girlfriend Caroline and spending time with family.
Jamie Jones - Director of First Impressions
Jamie serves as the Director of First Impressions. A graduate of Kennesaw State University, she has lived in Acworth her entire life and has been a faithful member and servant leader at Keystone since 2015. In addition to serving as the Director of First Impressions, Jamie also leads the Young Adults Bible Study Class with her husband, Jared, and is a gifted administrator with a passion for reaching and connecting with others. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, watching the Atlanta Braves, and spending as much time as possible with their three girls, Berkleigh, Jocelyn, and Madison, and the family dog, Coco!
Sheila Hogle - Director of Outreach and Events
Sheila serves as our Director of Outreach and Events where she coordinates the church's service to our local community and the church's fellowship events. She has over 10 years of leadership experience in the church in planning and leading events. Sheila has two sons and enjoys spending time with her family, sewing, decorating, being outdoors, and music.
Randi Hayes - Missions Director
Randi serves as Keystone’s Missions Director and has a huge heart for serving others. She has been actively involved in international missions and spreading the gospel globally. Her passion for outreach and cultural engagement drives her commitment to making a lasting impact through the church’s mission initiatives. Outside of ministry, Randi enjoys spending time with her family and dog, Hank, and home improvement projects.
Spenser Boice - Worship Leader
Spenser started leading worship when he was 16 years old. Growing up in a Christian household with a father as a pastor and family very involved in ministry, he has always had a heart for worship from a very early age. He has led in various capacities, such as being a full-time Worship Pastor, touring with other worship artists across the nation, and faithfully attending church where God continues to present him with opportunities to serve Him in the area of worship, music, pastoring and ministry.
Spenser’s prayer is that everyone would have a chance to experience the power of God’s holy presence and encounter His never ending love in a way that would change their lives forever. When we gather together and sing to Him, we’re joining with heaven’s song that will never end for all of eternity!
David Johnston - Production and A/V Director
David has served as Keystone’s A/V engineer and head of A/V since 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Audio Production from the Art Institute of Atlanta and has been a part of the event production, studio, and audio post-production field for over two decades. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel, and exploring the art of outdoor cooking.
Jim McQueen - Facilties Director
Jim has served as the Facilities Director here at Keystone since 2011. He is responsible for the general oversight of the campus building and grounds and maintains the facilities accordingly. He's even earned the title "Mr. Fix It" by Pastor Terry! A proud Navy veteran with 6 years of service, Jim loves God, family, and country along with his church. He is married to his loving wife, Judy, and enjoys spending time with his family, four grandchildren, and two "granddogs."
