Mission Statement:

The Shema Project exists to teach, model, and multiply a lifestyle of loving God with all our heart, soul, and strength by grounding students in His Word and equipping them to faithfully live it out. Through intentional, age-appropriate discipleship, we seek to cultivate a deep, personal love for God that shapes every area of life—at home, at church, at school, and in the community. We are committed to partnering with families, training leaders, and creating environments where God’s truth is consistently taught, naturally lived, and actively shared. Our goal is to raise up generations of students who not only know God’s Word, but carry it in their hearts, walk in daily obedience, and multiply their faith in others.

What is "The Shema Project":

“The Shema” is a passage of Scripture found in Deuteronomy 6:5-9. The word Shema comes from the Hebrew word meaning "hear" or "listen."  This passage is a prayer the Israelites prayed twice a day to remind them the importance of following God’s Word. It highlights the mindset that God’s Word must guide every part of our lives, so that we are consistently hearing and listening to Him and what He has asked us to do. This involves loving the Lord with all your heart, soul, and mind and staying in His Word for His direction in your life.

What to Expect on Your First Visit:

  1. Locate the Children’s Ministry Check-in desk located on the right side of the building.
  2. There we will meet your family, check your child(ren) into our system, and a volunteer will lead your child to the correct location for Sunday Worship.

How Our Check-In Works:

  • Before Service: You can check-in your child either at the desk in the children's lobby or the iPad located across from the desk. After finding your child’s name in the database, you and your child will be given matching name tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion while you hold on to the matching tag.
  • During Service: In the event that we need to contact you during the service, you will receive a text. We ask that you exit the worship center immediately and look for a staff member or volunteer who will direct you to your child’s room.
  • After Service: After the service is complete, you will return to your child’s room and show your tag in order to pick-up your child.
